dc.description.abstractThe electrical power system is one of the most important, greatest and most complex system made by man .The continuous and reliable power supply is considered one of the most important factors that affect the efficiency of the system ,There fore ,many systems and methods have been devised and many means have been used in order to improve performance and ensure the continuity of the energy supply in the required manner. In this research a model was made for Atbara transforming substation 220/33kvَ Al- Muqrin. The ETAP program was used as a study and analysis tool .The network was divided into regions and a new coordination system was designed for the relays. A three cases study were made to test the protection system , satisfactory result were reached.
