Abstract

The main focus of this study is to improve the capacity factor of the residential city of the Barber Cement factory using low voltage capacitors with controller to control the introduction and output of capacitors according to the inefficient capacity required to obtain economic and technical advantages to improve the capacity factor. First, the total induction load of the residential city was identified, and the ineffective capacity required to compensate for the total effective capacity withdrawn from the source was determined, and then the number and values of capacitors required for improvement were determined. Secondly, the components of the board (controller, capacitors, main cutter) were selected from ABB's own catalogues; The rest of the components of the painting (cables, assembly rods, cans) were selected from special equations and tables. Thirdly, modelling (simulation) was done by ETAP simulation
