dc.description.abstractThis review article discussed on neonatal jaundice which is a yellowish discoloration of the white part of the eyes and skin in a newborn baby due to high bilirubin levels Other clinical features may include excess sleepiness or loss of appetite. Consequences may include seizures, cerebral palsy. It may happen due to physiologic or pathologic etiologies. The need for treatment relies on bilirubin levels, the age of the child, and the underlying cause treatment may include more frequent feeding, phototherapy, or exchange transfusions.
