Abstract
Of the most common indicators used in evaluating the efficiency of power system, is the ratio of energy lost from the power generated by the total energy, and the system is highly efficient when the level of losses small. But there is a fact that energy is sent for the benefit of transport and distribution does not reach all the consumers true, there are substantial amount of this energy is dissipated in the transport and distribution systems in the technical and non-technical losses. The purpose of this research is to study of non technical losses. And then propose some appropriate technologies to reduce to an acceptable rate by studies the factors affecting the energy loss in distribution networks. So these losses have given a large space and a full explanation in chapter three of this research. Atbara area was taken (Atbara Station). The researchers in this study used ETAP as tool in their study and they reached to sudden overloads or under-load the amount of energy lost and also the increase in the effort.
